For the Unification Church to properly change its course going forward, we have to break free from survivalism. Sometimes it feels as though the end point of our faith right now is not true love, but survival. If that happens, there will be nothing that distinguishes us from the secular world. There will be nothing that distinguishes us even from the animal world. We may fully exercise all the functions necessary to fulfill our role as human beings, but if we fail to carry out the responsibilities we are supposed to fulfill and simply end with survival, then we end up at the level of animals. Survival is centered on the self, while love exists for the sake of others, doesn't it? If we are still generally living in a way that cannot move beyond ourselves, we cannot develop, and in the end, we will regress.
Although it is easy to say that we should love our enemies, forgiving and loving an enemy is just as difficult as practicing true love. An ordinary person may think that it is even more difficult than that, but it is that difficult. It requires the same amount of energy. That is why we have to overcome it. We have to go completely to the end in the opposite direction. Then we have to come back from there, create nothing, and pull it in the opposite direction, so it takes twice as much time. It takes more than twice as long. If we do it properly, it is something we can do in one step. But even love that can be done in one step is difficult. Now imagine going in the opposite direction first and then pulling it all the way back in the completely opposite direction. If you forget your enemy, try to understand them, forgive them, and then say that you love them, do you realize how much time you are consuming? You are consuming more than three times as much time. You spend all that unnecessary time going back and forth over something that could have been done in one step, and that is why you become tired.
If you don't live that way, what is there that is so difficult? Even if there is something difficult, at most it would be your own work. Since that is something everyone does, you cannot really consider it difficult. Everyone has their own desires and purposes, so if you set a higher purpose, the sacrifices that come with it will naturally follow in proportion to how high that purpose is. You have to think of that as something natural. Even if the world became like that, it would not be all that difficult. If everyone came to make an effort to live that way, you could receive grace from the people around you. When you come to feel, “It isn't just me. Everyone is living that way, too!” a sense of comradeship arises from that, and from there you find comfort. You come to feel that you are not alone.
It is better not to try to receive material blessings or blessings related to your life circumstances. It is better not to rely on those blessings. The more blessings you receive, the more unhappy you become. It is dangerous. You must not like that. First of all, your heart becomes weak, you lose your sense of direction, you lose balance in your life, and you become prone to arrogance. In order to maintain balance in life, everything has to be properly given and properly received. It is normal and balanced for a reward to come through your own effort. That should come first, not blessing. God told human beings to exercise dominion over all things, right? So, even when we consider it in terms of responsibility, that kind of life is what is normal. A life of blessing is not what is normal. That is abnormal. That is the case because something is lacking or broken somewhere. Otherwise, the very act of living for that purpose itself is the blessing.
We must not come to rely on giving medicine to sick people or giving a penny to beggars. If you come to like that, you will become nothing more than a beggar. Also, when you receive too many blessings, you lose your sense of direction. First of all, when there is too much of that kind of blessing, you start having a lot of unnecessary thoughts. You also start spreading yourself too thin and taking on too many things. When you don't have that much, you try to do things one by one, step by step. But when you suddenly have a lot, you tend to spend it easily. Once you start taking on this and that, you end up expanding things without even having a plan for how you are going to manage them. Then you really begin to wander. Even a blessing only becomes a blessing when it is used properly. Generally speaking, when people get a little money, they tend to spend it wastefully, don't they?
There will also be kingship in the ideal world. However, the king in the ideal world has to genuinely care about all people, so the king is a servant of all people. Those who think only of themselves cannot become kings in the ideal world. People who think only of themselves are people with defective consciences. Anyone can think that there is nothing good about living that way, but once you begin to fall into arrogance, that also becomes a problem. Arrogance can easily become a habit. First of all, this is because the joy that comes to you is direct. If you develop such a bad habit and begin to become addicted to it, it is not good. You become foolish, and eventually you will ruin yourself. You become unable to do anything properly. Therefore, everyone should dislike arrogance and try to avoid it. We should try, as much as possible, not to see or feel arrogance. If you have that kind of mindset, you will immediately sense it. Once you sense it, the stimulation is intense. That stimulation can be shocking. It can even become pleasurable. You have to know how to exercise dominion over it. Avoiding the addictive nature of arrogance is the wisest way to live one's life.
It becomes a problem when you come to enjoy being praised. A person who likes being praised is someone who is addicted to arrogance. Therefore, they do not do their work properly. To do anything properly requires a lot of sacrifice and a long time. But when you live with arrogance as your focus, you start using popularity tactics and wanting to be praised. How can you possibly do your work properly that way? You try to rush through things somehow so that you can be praised and treated well. I am telling you, that is what happens when you become addicted to arrogance. Such people do not fight (struggle). An arrogant person does not fight (struggle), you see. It is not that they are trying not to fight (struggle). They are unable to fight (struggle). It is those who, like fools, try to do things properly, or those who fight (struggle), who actually engage in the struggle.
White people tend to pay a lot of attention to small details. So when they cannot understand what is being explained to them, they start worrying about it. They worry about trying to figure it out on their own, and if they cannot, they may fall into Samcheonpoend (end up getting sidetracked.) Our church also needs people who understand the tendencies of White people, explain things to them in a way that suits them, and guide them in the right direction. So, in the end, Oriental people are meant to lead the world. Before saying whether the tendencies of White people are good or bad, it is the responsibility of Oriental people to understand them and guide them well in a way that suits them. Among White people, there are intellectual people as well as emotional people. We need both kinds of people. The person who is appropriate will differ depending on the time and place. It can be said that it is the responsibility of leaders to manage such people around us. A leader needs the expertise to recognize specialists and must know how to use the right people in the right places. Therefore, leaders must be able to adapt to changing times, circumstances, and atmospheres. You have to adjust to the atmosphere in order to produce good results.
The more ambiguous and difficult things become, the best conclusion is simply, “Hey, let’s die!” If you don't do that and instead start thinking that you are great in your own way, there will be no end to it. You should always try to put Father's words into practice, even if you have to start with yourself. You can win only if you try to do it before others do. If you wait until everyone else has done it and then start doing it, when and how could you possibly win? You have to do it when others are not doing it in order to win. That is how you can at least increase your chances of winning.
Unification Church members should like working in an environment together with people of other races. They should find it boring to work only with people of the same race. When you work together with people of other races, there are many times when things can be troublesome. So sometimes it takes a lot of time. Belvedere Studio is like a training center where people of various races can live together. Because each of them feels things differently, there is really a lot to learn. Even when saying just one thing, each person has to divide it into three parts and express it in three different directions, so it becomes good training for one another. Even when you sit together in one place and say just one thing, you have to separate it into three different directions, so it is good training. We have to train this way so that, going forward, we can understand Chinese people and prevail over them.
Chinese people come from the two extremes represented by Koreans and Japanese, and they stand in the middle between plus and minus, fighting to swallow up the world. They quietly sit there and say they are great like White people, boast about their strength like Black people, and emphasize absoluteness because they are Oriental. That is why Koreans and Japanese do not like them. They look like Koreans or Japanese, but because they behave in completely different ways, they appear to be people from a completely different country. In the end, it is important to learn how to “cook” Chinese people. But how can we "cook" them? First of all, Chinese people are arrogant. Since Chinese people contain the characteristics of Black, White, and Yellow people, in order to understand the core of Chinese people, we have to know the characteristics of each race in order to analyze them properly. At times, Chinese people display the characteristics of Black people; at other times, those of White people; and at other times, those of Yellow people. Chinese people's character is a mixture of the characteristics of these three races. That is why they are middle link people. In order to understand Chinese people, we first have to understand the characteristics of White and Black people. We need people of all these different racial characteristics. How can we sincerely love these people, and how can we enable them to work together toward one common purpose? That is our challenge, isn't it? We have to actually do it that way, not just talk about it, don't we?
The life of a singer is like the life of a slave. Properly developing and controlling your voice is harder than sports. It is not something you can accomplish with endurance or strength alone. Honestly, even in athletics, there are small techniques that make the difference between first place and second place. But this kind of sharpness is on a completely different level from the sensitivity within a given range of rhythm. A singer has to control the volume and vibration of their voice and move (emotionally) each individual person. That is not easy. In sports, it is actually easier to show something by keeping their eyes open and hitting and competing with one another. But it is not easy to move (emotionally) people who close their eyes and simply listen.
Sometimes, even when Father speaks, people close their eyes and listen quietly. Receiving grace from listening to his words is not easy. Just as grace comes when you speak properly, in singing, grace comes when you properly control the volume of the melody, the rise and fall of the vibration, and the flow. Just as you have to properly connect words together to form a sentence in order to receive grace from that sentence, the flow of a song also has to be properly connected for grace to come. If you cannot do that, there is no grace. It is like saying things that do not make sense from beginning to end. It is like listening to casual chatter. The flow of the song has to be connected as well for grace to come.
We cannot work the way the secular world does. That is exactly what we have to worry about in the end. If the work we do is done under the name of the church, eventually people in the world will come to know about it. That is because if the work we do does not align with the values Father pursues, we are bound to be criticized by the secular world. We cannot work simply to make money like people in the secular world do. We have to think about Father's reputation and about the name of the Unification Church. Even while maintaining our own dignity, we have to be able to influence the world. At the very least, we may be able to work on an equal footing with the secular world, but we cannot work from a position of being dependent on the secular world.
We should consider the church members precious first and foremost. They should be our first priority. Most of the church members have received the Blessing and are much more full of grace than people in the secular world, aren't they? The highest purpose of a business is, first of all, to become self-sufficient. In becoming self-sufficient, operating independently, and expanding the business, there are two ways: doing it according to the Principle and doing it in a secular worldly way. The Principle-based way is more difficult than the secular worldly way. It is more difficult to do it while holding onto the ideal that Father desires. It is difficult, but it can be done well even in a Principle-based way. Of course, it is difficult when you first start. It will probably be almost ten times harder. But once you endure it, get through it, and overcome it, you will feel a sense of fulfillment and be able to appreciate its value to that same degree. Because they cannot endure that difficulty, there are people even within the church who constantly say that business should be run like the secular world, business being business. Has anyone actually become self-sufficient by doing it that way? People who say such things say them because they do not understand the secular world and are weak, thinking that there are people who simply exist in order to depend on others.
People generally analyze things too simply and one-dimensionally. Because you cannot kill the person you want to kill, you have to do better. You think, “It would be better for me to die instead,” and at the same time think that you have to do better. You have to do better in order to keep alive the people you want to kill. Whenever you think that way, sometimes you don't want to live. When you cannot leave behind someone you can trust, you want to live. That is the paradox. Then that itself becomes the condition. Anyone who wants to rise always pretends, doesn't he? But a person who genuinely wants to rise properly is truly pure innocent. Such people understand ten things from one word. If you say one thing, they understand at least two things. Because they continue to think about those words, by the end they come to know a great deal. There is something different about such people. Ambitious and impatient people who want to rise quickly imitate others and pretend to be that way. The more they do that, the more complicated the work becomes. It is the same principle as how the law becomes more complicated the more thieves there are.
Those who make music also have desires, so they have to receive grace from the music they themselves create. That is why they have to work hard and raise their basic level. When you look at the characteristics of White, Black, and Oriental people, White people try to conform to the mind, Black people try to conform to the rhythm of the body, and Oriental people try to conform to something spiritual. In some ways, Black people may appear lazy, but they are not lazy. They are good at things that require a quick burst of effort. Black people are the least inclined to do difficult work. Instead, Black people have endurance that allows them to keep going steadily. They have endurance, but they do not want to push themselves through hardship. They want to do things at their own pace and with room to spare. They try to follow the rhythm of their own bodies and avoid overexerting themselves. White people try to conform to their own mind. Oriental people try to conform to something spiritual, so even if they do not know God, they try to align their thinking with a great goal.
So when they try to bring the mind and the body into alignment, and try to make the body conform to what the mind wants, it becomes a burden for Black people, and in the end they start to complain. You have to let them work according to their own abilities, because there is a limit to what you can expect from them. If we consider the circumstances that arise on the level of the individual and on the level of the relationship between subject and object, then unless love is taken into consideration, in the end, White people, who think with their minds, have greater expansive power and move faster, so it becomes difficult for Black people to keep pace with them. If you want results immediately, it becomes a burden for Black people. That is because Black people focus on what they can do within their own limits and try to do things accordingly. If you do not give them enough time and instead demand that they expand their limits immediately, it naturally becomes too much for them. When it becomes too much, they get hurt and become ill.
On that level, what the soul desires, what the mind desires, and what the body desires are different. So, realistically, we have to bring the whole order into balance. If you push things too far, discordant waves arise on the overall level. If that continues, those waves become more severe rather than becoming smaller. When those waves become too intense, they become uncontrollable, and you can no longer exercise dominion over them. At that point, even if you use emergency measures, it becomes difficult to bring things under control. If those emergency measures are effective, that is one thing, but if they are not, you will lose everything. Then you have to be prepared to let the body and mind die, leaving only the soul. You cannot force yourself to keep living, can you? Then you end up blaming others, and you have to anticipate and speak about the excuses and justifications of other people. It would be good to create good lyrics for young children and give them many songs that are easy to sing. However, it is not easy to soothe young children.
White, Black, and Oriental people are all human, so they are all emotional in their own way, but their atmospheres are different, and their ways of expressing themselves are different. Black people have an atmosphere that is celebratory and full of joy, and they are moved by that. White people of course like all of that as well, but they try to maintain a certain sense of ease and take a position of inspiring people on a new level around some kind of ideology. That is what gives grace to White people. Oriental people try to do things differently in a pure way, with the determination to go all the way to the end. When White people are given an opportunity, they think a great deal in order to properly accomplish what they want. Even the way of expecting the result of receiving something that is full of grace has to differ according to race. Your expectations have to be different each time you deal with a different race. They cannot be the same. They are all different. We have to be able to handle that. Therefore, we have to lead everyone in one direction. White people cannot become Oriental people. Everyone has to maintain their own position. They have to maintain their respective positions, become one, and move in one direction. That is what is ideal.
What good is it to lead only the soul when the body cannot fulfill its proper function? Wouldn't that make the person nothing more than a vegetative state? You have to let the body fulfill its proper function. You cannot turn Black or White people into Oriental people. Ideally, that cannot happen, nor is it supposed to happen that way. The Era of Restoration through Indemnity is an era of forcing things. Because we have to do things that should not be possible, we do things that are not supposed to be possible. You can think of that as being universal. That does not mean it is the standard. Somehow, we have to bring out each person's unique individuality. White people should bring out the unique individuality of White people, Black people should bring out the unique individuality of Black people, and Oriental people should bring out the unique individuality of Oriental people, so that we can establish a balance. Then we have to bring everyone together as one, help them find one direction, and enable each person to find their own value within that.
It cannot be otherwise. Otherwise, it produces some kind of abnormal phenomenon. That is because it is not normal. It is not natural, and first of all, it is not even physical. It simply does not work that way. Unification is not that kind of unification. Ideally, all three stages should be integrated after the threefold distinctiveness among the races has been properly completed through those three stages. That is the concept and the eventual outcome of ideal unification. It does not mean becoming one without maintaining one's own position. Otherwise, wouldn't the result be that all the people living on earth would simply have spirit selves walking around? Wouldn't they then become transparent beings? When people enter the ideal world, do all human beings become transparent? Rather than interpreting it that way, it’s better to work hard until the end and look at history with a more relaxed perspective. There will be a result eventually, after all.
In order to integrate the whole, we have to work even harder all the way to the final end. The reason we come to such a conclusion is because we look at history and learn from it. It would be a problem if our predecessors left bad examples in history and then the younger generations came to say, “Let’s not do things that way.” Once you have decided to do something because you believe it is right, you must not give up on it until the final end. You have to suffer more and go through greater hardship for its sake. That is why we have to liberate all things. A long time ago, I made a song on the eighth album called “Liberation of Creation” There is a song that goes, “If a black spot stands out on a white wall, then a white spot will stand out on a black wall, too.” When it gets to the chorus, the song says, “Liberate Creation” It means, “For that purpose, let me, who am the lord of all creation, first separate myself from the Fall.”
People, especially Christians, say that anything dark or anything associated with night is bad. I didn't like hearing that, so I made that song. It is because human beings do bad things, so why is the night bad? Why is darkness bad? It has to be dark at night for us to sleep. We seek out the darkness of night and rest, and our cells can properly rest only when it is dark. That is scientific. It is a scientifically proven phenomenon. It's a fact. But because there are people who automatically think that anything dark is bad, I made that song. Why blame all of creation, which is innocent, and blame natural phenomena? That is the point. It is the armed robber who is bad, not the gun, isn't it? That is an absurd way of thinking. The “spots” in the night sky are stars, aren't they? That is exactly a white spot on a black wall. It makes no sense. That is the kind of thing people with a split personality say. When you are at the point of beginning to think deeply, nighttime is good. When daytime comes, you become distracted. So there are times when it is better for things to be dark.
Even if Jesus came as the Second Adam, people within the Western Christian cultural sphere perceive Jesus as an outstanding person who cannot even be compared with Adam. That is something that cannot be helped. It is because White people interpreted the Bible and globalized their interpretation of it. At times, imperialism also entered through religion, particularly through Christianity. That was also the conclusion we reached when we made a video called *“Portrait of Jesus”* at the Manhattan Center seven or eight years ago. Western people used the name of Jesus as a pretext and put Christianity at the forefront in order to accomplish the goals of imperialism. That is why they speak that way and believe that way. That is why White people brought Black people from Africa and made them slaves. They believed that “the chosen people are the White people.” That is why they say such things.
The fact that our Western family members also see things that way means that White people are arrogant. Even after accepting Father's words as the words of the Second Coming, if they still emphasize the greatness of Jesus, it means that there is a certain conflict within them. That is because they think that White people control the history of Christianity. They think that the Jews failed, and that White people took Christianity and globalized it. Through the Roman era, Christianity was spread to the East and to Africa as well, wasn't it? It is a fact that the White people who killed Jesus later globalized Christianity, isn't it? During the Roman era, Israel itself was also a colony of the White people, wasn't it?
However, White people now also feel their own limitations, so these kinds of phenomena are no longer a major problem. To some extent, we have to argue and debate, but through those debates, they come to feel their own limitations. Otherwise, it would lead to war with weapons, and White people do not want that. There are limits to the desires of people living in the secular world. When something begins to harm them, they no longer try to go any further. Instead, they try to maintain the situation as it is. Trying to maintain the status quo means that they feel their own limitations. Therefore, the harder we work, the faster we may be able to persuade them.
There are many problems in the world of White people right now. Because they are feeling their limitations so strongly, they are becoming more willing to compromise. In a situation like this, compromise has to come first. Compromise cannot take place when everything is in a perfect state. Once a compromise is reached, persuasion can take place from there. For White people, compromise comes before persuasion. Only then can they approach the conversation again with a different mindset and engage in dialogue on a new level. Originally, White supremacists are proud in their thinking. When they leave that arrogance at home and come to the table to compromise, they do not bring another kind of arrogance to the new table. They come with the mindset that they want to avoid war. That is why persuasion becomes possible. Because they put the desire not to fight and the determination not to fight first, they leave their arrogance at home.
With those who have put their arrogance aside and come to compromise, we first have to debate. Compromise itself is a form of debate. It is a back-and-forth in which one says, “I did this, so what are you going to do?” It is a kind of bargaining. Bargaining is a verbal fight without guns or knives, isn't it? That is how you reach a compromise. For example, if you go to Namdaemun Market, people bargain over prices when buying and selling things. That is the kind of style I mean. If you know what you are doing and go to Namdaemun Market, you can avoid being overcharged and buy things cheaply. But if you go without knowing how things work and without preparing properly, you will get ripped off, won't you? So we have to straighten that out. When the market vendors who sell goods get those goods from wholesalers or factories, they do not bargain in that way because both sides already know what they are dealing with. So when the time comes when street peddlers disappear, you could say that is the very beginning of the ideal world.
When you pray to God, you must absolutely believe the words you are praying. When the words of your prayer reach your own heart, you are bound to shed tears. Prayer is telling God, from your heart, what you are determined to do. Once you have stated your determination, you have to put it into practice. Your whole life, your entire lifetime, should become a life of putting your highest prayers into practice. If you have time to pray with words, it is more important to put the content of that prayer into practice. A man should pray by reporting to God and promising what he is going to do, rather than praying for God to give him something. It is shameful for a man to pray asking for things, isn't it? If a man is going to pray that kind of prayer, he would be better off becoming a eunuch (内侍). If you make promises carelessly and then fail to put them into practice, the person who made the promise is disgraced, isn't he? That is because the person who made the promise has to take responsibility. It is better to keep, one by one, the promises you have made to God and then make new promises. If you just keep making promises without being able to fulfill them, you are bringing disgrace upon yourself. When most people pray for others, they do so because they ultimately believe that what they desire for themselves will be accomplished through those others.
If you quietly watch children playing, you can see the behavior of adults coming out in them just as it is. Their own individuality also emerges from that, and I think that is something truly precious. All parents feel joy when they look at their children, and at the same time, they come to see themselves. It is an opportunity to see their own pure side and be renewed once again. That is why children are precious. When you look at your own child, you come to think in your heart, “If I could live again, I should live like that.” We should live in the same way, just like children. Like flowers, children live regularly, eating and sleeping at regular times, don't they? We should live that way too, but we have become so corrupt, and our fallen nature has grown so much, with corruption and dishonesty increasing, that things have not been properly dealt with. That is why it has become this way.
Do you think it is easy to be the owner? People who think that being the owner is a good thing are foolish. Honestly, just look at Americans who live alone. They have to install alarm systems to prevent burglars, they have to take care of the dog that guards the house, and the owner has so many things to worry about, doesn't he? Being the owner is not necessarily a good thing. It is not easy. Once you become the owner, there are so many things you have to worry about. You might as well live like a beggar. When you are learning, you have to live like a beggar. Once you become the owner, you cannot learn because you are busy protecting the house. Originally, the servant is supposed to guard the house, but when that cannot be done, the owner has to guard it. If guarding the house has to become the owner's role, then the owner of the house has to perform the same kind of role as a dog.
Do you know why Americans love dogs? When Americans were pioneering and settling the country, dogs were the ones that protected their owners from predators such as wolves. Because dogs would throw themselves in front of predators that could kill them, taking the place of their owners, Americans came to love dogs. Because America was founded on a pioneering mindset, dogs are the animals that represent the highest kind of love in the animal world. There were many people who received help from dogs in order to establish themselves and settle down, so dogs became greater than any other animal in people's eyes. That is why Americans sometimes love dogs even more than human beings. That is an obvious fact. When human beings responsible for the Providence of Restoration fail to fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to them, they not only cannot ignore dogs like these, they are not even qualified to be the owners of such dogs. If such people take responsibility for a church, that organization will perish, and that organization will become an animal kingdom. (Please include this in the series as well.)
Even a leader who has the ideology of the ideal world must understand reality, because the world we live in now is not an ideal environment. The suffering a leader experiences has to be on a different level from the suffering experienced by an ordinary individual. No, it should have nothing to do with the suffering an ordinary person experiences. A leader must always be able to endure that suffering alone, in solitude. Also, a leader has to develop moves of his or her own. Even when learning martial arts, you cannot defeat your own master unless you develop new techniques of your own. A master will never teach you every technique he has, all the way to the end. He has to keep at least one technique for himself in order to retain his position as the master to the very end.
There are many people who are good at speaking, but it is difficult to act without words. That is not easy. There are many people who are impressive. The important question is what makes them impressive. Being impressive because of your words is not what matters. Presenting things in a news-reporting style only serves to deal with social problems. Art is the only thing that pursues human progress and the ideal. Because the ideal is invisible in the first place, art has to make the invisible visible and make it heard. In order to mobilize the highest level of stimulation, you have to exercise dominion over all the other things in creation. That is what provides the greatest stimulation. You have to show the dominion that human beings can exercise dominion over all things. That is the highest form of stimulation. That is where the stimulation comes from. Within the thing itself, you have to be able to see why you are pursuing it. Rather than through physical means, we want to experience stimulation through all things, through the things that exist, through creation, through existing things, and through form itself.
If you endure and persevere through difficulties to the end, a good time will surely come. Once you get over a certain hurdle, things become easier from that point on. In the initial stages, enduring is only natural. But since love is eternal, you have to continue that way all the way to the very end. It does not end just because you have passed through the initial stage once. That is when the real beginning starts. From that point on, you will become what you make of yourself, so the next stage becomes even more important. From the next stage, you have to make an effort to properly cultivate what is revealed through your own actions, complete it, and then move into the Growth Stage, followed by the Completion Stage. Seen on a larger scale, that is the Formation Stage, followed by the Growth Stage and the Completion Stage, all of which you have to pass through. You have to pass through the Completion Stage of all three stages and then pass through the number 10, the number of unity (returning number), in order to be called a perfected human being. Everyone likes perfection, but the more you feel that you have risen to a certain level, the more careful you should be. Whenever you feel that you are beginning to break through, you should think once again about why you are doing this. It is only natural to look back, reflect, and remind yourself once again of what it is that you are trying to accomplish.
When a good new person joins a family, a church, or an organization, it is good news and a reason for celebration. It becomes a condition to have a feast. If you dislike that and become jealous, you are lacking something mentally. Those who fear it and heighten their sense of vigilance are bad people. Having basic humanity is what it means to properly fulfill your role as a human being. There can be no exception to that. Then, when it comes to work, you can become better than you were before. Do you know how difficult it is to truly be smart? You cannot be smart all by yourself without someone else. You come to know your own smartness through other people. That does not mean that being called smart is necessarily a good thing. When people call you smart, it can actually make you uneasy because you have no one to rely on. So being praised is not necessarily a good thing. Being smart means that you have to work even harder from that point forward. You must not rely on anyone. You should not worry about what other people say, and you should not compare your circumstances with those of others. Only then will the reputation of being smart remain with you for a long time.
