When we look at the dispositions of each race, the people with the greatest innate qualities are the yellow race. The mind and body mainly think about what is beneficial to themselves, and eventually their endurance declines and they come to feel their limitations. To feel a limitation means nothing other than returning to the self. No matter how much human beings pursue goodness, once they reach a certain limit, everyone is bound to return to the self. Even so, when we look at the dispositions of each race, the yellow race can endure a little longer. When we look at the dispositions of each race in terms of spirit, intellect, and body, the yellow race has greater endurance because it represented the spiritual aspect.
However, when living in America and dealing with Americans, you must be able to think in the American way. A Korean person living in America should not think only in the Korean way. You should not think in the Korean way, try to understand other races in the Korean way, and try to act accordingly. When fighting a war in America, you have to do it properly. It is the same as how, when fighting a war, the strategy must change according to the terrain where the battle is being fought. Small scale battles are also important, but you must always think about battles for the purpose of winning the war. In order to win a war, you must also know how to take a step back from a battle. Even in daily life, when things you are doing do not go properly, you should try changing your strategy, and even when you feel like complaining, rather than expressing your complaint, it is wiser and more prudent to calm the feeling of complaint within yourself. When it comes to what you are doing, it is also important to be stubborn about it, but if that stubbornness is neither wise nor prudent, there is no need for it.
We must be pleasing in God's eyes rather than in the eyes of people. Even if we pay attention to how others see us, we should be more concerned with God's view of us than with people's opinions. Doing things for others out of human feelings, no matter how sincere those feelings may be, is not always the right thing from God's point of view. Life is not over until we die. Life means living for others until the day we die, like a puppet or a servant. Love is sacrifice. For the sake of love, we must know how to give up everything. We must be willing to give up everything not only for our own nation, but also for other nations and other races. If we can teach them a lesson, we must be able to give up the path that benefits us personally and willingly take the path that puts us at a disadvantage.
Human beings must know how to control their emotions. We must not fall into unnecessary self-absorption. When it comes to work, what matters is doing more. There is no need to worry about anything else. If you want to make something that seems impossible possible, you must make greater sacrifices. No one in this world can live properly while deceiving themselves. It is not easy to live each day while devoting everything you have in order to give it all. That is our reality. Even so, we must strive to live this way until the day we die. We must keep going until the very end. If we give up along the way, we are the ones who lose. Rather than giving up, it is better to die while still striving.
We must not judge or evaluate people carelessly based on our own standards. Only God can judge. There is an American saying: “Keep your enemies closer.” When we are working, the closer we get to the end, the more impatient we become. It is precisely at such times that our human nature and character are revealed. The closer we get to the end, the more we must exercise patience and persevere. Throughout our lives, we must always think about how we will fulfill the challenge Father gave us: “Love your enemies.” We must not think that we can complete our lives in a single day. If we completed our lives in one day, we would have to die the next day. Once life is complete, we would have to die, since there would be no need to live any longer, would there? To win in life, we must overcome the urge to treat things as urgent when they are not. Otherwise, we will lose. The lessons Father gave us were also: “Unconditionally die for the sake of others” and “I am the servant of all humankind,” were they not?
